infoQ Interview

Last week Stefan Tilkov and I conducted an email interview that’s now published over on infoQ. I’m not crazy about the title, but I guess it’s accurate. Here’s a taste:

InfoQ: What’s your opinion on UDDI, the third of the core web service specs?

PL: I find it grossly over-engineered, what with tModels and bindingTemplates and categoryBags. Succinctly, anything that requires a design pattern to achieve the predominate use case for which it’s deployed has failed.

Comments welcome here or there.

It appears to end rather abruptly, right after the question:

InfoQ: What would be your advice to someone looking to implement an SOA today?

Chris: It does appear that way, but look more closely and you can see my answer was just two words: Read this.
